Googlethink is everythink. It's a dip into the collective mind of the Googleverse, for the profound, the mundane and the plain ridiculous.

WHY CAN’T …
The question “why can’t” raises our deepest feelings of frustration. From the very moment we really know what’s going on in the world, we’ll start to figure out that we can’t do some things, and will want to know why.
Most on this list raise insecurities and physical issues. Pregnancy and sleep are kind of vital to human survival, and losing weight and finding love is a big thing. But first on the list is obviously the big question on everyone’s Googlelips. Indeed, why the feck can’t I own a goddamn Canadian.
WHY DOES …
“Why does” is question of the utmost curiosity. It’s the same question that the greatest scientists, thinkers and philosophers have asked since year dot, to figure out the very essence of our universe. So interesting to see what the collective Googlemind is really curious to know.
There are a couple of scientific questions in there (like no.9 and no.10) and discovering why poop floats also comes into this category. Then there’s the medical curiosities: twitchy eyes, greying hair and stinking belly buttons are top of the list here. But definitely top of the list of curious curiosities is “why does my mum turn me on”. There’s a lot of people making that search. And I thought it was just me…
WHERE CAN I …
Where is such a crucial question. It helps you find a place for whatever you’re looking for. And if you can find the place, chances are you’ll find the thing.
It’s perhaps not surprising that this search is geared towards finding free books, movies and music. More surprising is that people were actually looking for the Health Bill to read. And even more suprising, though a previous post has found this too, is that people out there are looking for Chuck Norris. Not just his films, but him. Did they ever find him? We’ll never know.
Corporate digital scar tissue.
In a persistent, scarred for life sort of way.

WHAT DO I DO IF …
A ginger kid once bit me when I was a kid. My mother was distraught. If only Google existed at the time to help ease her worry.

I’M LOOKING FOR …
People are always looking for stuff on Google. In fact, that’s pretty much exactly what it’s for. So interesting to see what make the Top 10 in this particular Googlethink search.
From the achingly hopeful (a miracle), to the plain financial (a dime), to a place to hide (safe house), this list spans the reaches of human desires. It’s nice to know that people are looking forward to seeing others (though why they Googled it beats us), and of course good to see that Chuck Norris is still greatly sought after.
WHAT HAPPENS IF …
Eating and swallowing seems to be a dominant concern in this particular tap into the collective Google consciousness. Girls taking Viagra and dogs eating chocolate are perhaps commonplace these days, but silica gel? This is obviously more serious an issue than we thought. Eating mold is another surprise entry into the top 10 - people must be dumber than they look.
